Join Georgie Treasure-Evans for this 6 week course in chair yoga, which has all of the benefits of regular yoga but which is easier for people with reduced mobility or those who have difficulty standing for long periods.

10:00 – Springboard: A Presteigne Festival weekend of both ticketed and free arts events

Presteigne

Contributors to the programme include writer Carwyn Graves, composer Lynne Plowman, harpist Olivia Jageurs, authors Michèle Roberts and Patricia Duncker, musicians Dave Luke and Alex Valentine, Countryside Ranger Janice Vincett and soprano Sophia Jin. There is also a song recital with harp to welcome the summer featuring works by Debussy, Ravel, C P E Bach and Rachmaninov.

Rodd Court, The Rodd, Presteigne, LD8 2LL

Enjoy a tour of atmospheric Jacobean Manor House Rodd Court with knowledgeable guide Alisdair learning about its history and residents. Finished around 1630 by William Rodd, the Court was the centre of Rodd farm and estate in the beautiful landscape of the Hindwell River valley and remains very little altered.

For many worldwide, ‘Hereford’ is synonymous with the county’s white-faced, red-coated cattle. The development of this much-loved breed has close connections to North Herefordshire, including The Rodd near Presteigne, a Jacobean manor house formerly home to Aaron Rogers, ‘a pioneer amongst Hereford breeders’.
