Gladestry Community Council vacancy — Clerk to the Council

Gladestry Community Council has a vacancy for the position of Clerk to the Council at a salary of £1200 pa. The main responsibilities of the post are (1) the administration of the Council’s functions and (2) duties as Responsible Financial Officer.

The Community Council holds six ordinary meetings and one annual general meeting each year, plus occasional meetings when time-restricted issues need to be discussed. Hours worked are therefore variable and require some flexibility.

  • The post requires reasonable information technology skills
  • The Council provides a laptop and printer for the Clerk’s use
  • Apart from the need to attend Community Council meetings, the Clerk’s work can generally be done from home
  • The closing date for applications for this role is May 10, 2024
  • Start date for the successful applicant will be as soon as possible
